Evidence for Hope Beyond Hell (2)
The second greatest command of Christ is to love our neighbors as ourselves.
Belief in an eternal hell bars true and lasting joy (fruit of the Spirit – Galatians 5:22) from a loving person.
Why? If we love other people as much as we love ourselves, we cannot experience true joy in a “personal” salvation.
Only a salvation that includes all those we love (that is, all our family members, friends, and neighbors), can we know true joy…
a joy that is worthy of what Christ came to impart to our hearts.
Please take a few moments to think carefully about what you have just read.
“May the God of Hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing. May you abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Rom. 15:13.

This sounds like a stretch to me, although I can see what you’re trying to say. One thing to remember is that LOVE does NOT delight in evil, but rejoices in truth. So, one aspect of Love is that it identifies evil and takes no delight in it.
