Dear friends
Please excuse me for such a long absence in any news. I have been involved in a number of mission trips to various countries and travel in the US over the last 6 months and lots of study and writing in-between. It is with a heavy heart I am asking you all to keep my wife Denise in your prayers. She has been diagnosed with Leukemia a couple of days ago and we are awaiting the results regarding which type it is—hopefully by tomorrow afternoon.
The oncologist strongly suspects that it is “Hairy Cell” Leukemia (HCL), and if the biopsy confirms this, it offers strong promise (95% plus) for complete remission for up to 10 years (or more) with a treatment plan taking only 7 days (so we are told). We greatly appreciate your prayers that God will give Denise and I wisdom in dealing with any treatment options we might face in the next few days. Thanks so very much. I’ll keep you posted. I would love to hear from you but only ask that you be patient for my replies as I do not know when I will have time to write back to each of you individually.
Denise in at Valley Baptist Hospital in Harlingen Texas, South tower, Oncology room 405. Please do not send flowers as they are off limits to her room as she is in reverse quarantine due to very low immunity and cannot risk exposure to bacteria of any kind.
We are trusting in God as our rock through all of this praying for total healing and yet with an attitude of acceptance whatever He wills for us.
Thanks so much for your love and prayers at this time.
Love you all,
Gerry and Denise

Good Day Gerry and Denise,
Gerry, I have been unplugged for a while and am just reading this post. My wife has had some medical challenges of late. So I certainly understand some parts of what you are dealing with. Please know that Karen (my wife) and I are standing in prayer with you and Denise.
We stand on the Word that with our Savior’s stripes, we are healed.
Love you guys,
T. Le Mont and Karen Silver
